If you’ve ever seen a horror movie that you thought was fucked up, it has absolutely nothing on these books and their utter deranged madness. Take American Psycho, for example, the popular 2000 horror movie directed by Mary Harron, starring Christian Bale as the infamous Patrick Bateman. The movie is based on a book by Bret Easton Ellis, and let’s just say, quite a few scenes didn’t make the big screen cut.

Speaking of movies, I’m sure you’ve seen Fight Club, not that we can talk about it. Like American Psycho, Fight Club was based on a novel of the same name, by the author Chuck Palahniuk. Palahniuk is the author of a different book, however, aptly titled Haunted. I’d talk about fight club all day if it meant unseeing that book’s plot summary.

Kayla has received some backlash for her content, which is unsurprising considering its nature. In a recent video, a commenter criticized her for failing to include specific trigger warnings, even though she does include broader warnings. “Some people said my account is just a giant trigger warning, sorry guys,” she said. But she went on to defend her decision. “I feel like the suspense is kind of what makes these videos good, not knowing what crazy shit I’m about to type next.” She has a point, and most viewers agreed. “Yeah, I have an idea of what’s coming based on the wild ride we’ve already been on.”
